The Mariemont Inn
The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden can easily fill a day. Staying at the Mariemont Inn lets you pair that outing with a different side of the Cincinnati area: an evening and morning on a walkable historic village square.
Before the visit, check the zoo’s official site for tickets, hours, exhibits, parking and current guest policies. They can vary by season and event. The zoo is in Cincinnati, not within walking distance of the Inn; map the trip and allow time for the entrance and parking you plan to use.
Start at the zoo at the pace that suits your group. Families may want to focus on a few favorite animals and gardens rather than trying to see every exhibit. If you are visiting during a seasonal event, use the zoo’s calendar for the actual dates and admission rules. Avoid building an itinerary around a program that may not be running during your stay.
When you return to Mariemont, you can find dinner in the Inn or elsewhere around the square, then take a short walk. A slower morning the next day gives everyone a chance to enjoy the village before leaving. See the dining options and choose from the Inn’s room categories.
The Mariemont Inn The Mariemont Inn Has Two Birthdays If you have heard two different dates for the Mariemont Inn, both may be right. The building was completed in spring 1926 as part of the young Village of Mariemont. Its first work was tied to the development of the village:
A memorable weekend together can begin with dinner, a room at the Inn and unhurried time around the Village Square.
Explore downtown Cincinnati by day, then return to a historic Inn and a village square with places to dine and walk.
The first things to do are just outside the Inn: walk the square, dine locally and explore the village before heading farther into Cincinnati.
A hospital visit calls for practical planning. Compare the campus you need with the Mariemont Inn’s location and choose a stay that suits your family.
